Assembly.(1) Install bearing (1) in LH drum end (2).(2) Install seal (3) in LH drum end (2).(3) Install preformed packing (4) on LH drum end (2).WARNINGAdhesive sealant MIL-S-46163 can damageyour eyes. Wear safety goggles/glasseswhen using; avoid contact with eyes. Ifsealant contacts eyes, flush eyes withwater and get immediate medicalattention. Failure to comply may result ininjury to personnel.(4) Apply sealing compound to threads of eight screws (5).(5) Position LH drum end (2) on ring gear (6) with eightwashers (7) and screws (5).(6) Tighten screws (5) to 168-192 lb-in.
