Batteries disconnected (TM 9-2320-366-20-3).
Hydraulic supply and return valve closed
(TM 9-2320-366-10-2).
30K winch counterbalance valve removed (para 16-
81).

NOTE
Left and right 30K winch drive motors are
replaced/repaired the same. Left 30K winch
drive motor assembly shown.
(1) Place drain pan under 30K winch drive motor assembly
(1).
NOTE
Step (2) requires the aid of an assistant.
(2) Remove two screws (2), lockwashers (3), and 30K winch
drive motor assembly (1) from 30K winch assembly (4).
Discard lockwashers.
