16-28. M1084/M1086 FOUR WAY CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY
REPLACEMENT/REPAIR (CONT)
(56) Install two preformed packings (69) and five preformed
packings (70) in valve manifold (3).
WARNING
Adhesive sealant MIL-S-46163 can damage
your eyes. Wear safety goggles/glasses
when using; avoid contact with eyes. If
sealant contacts eyes, flush eyes with
water
and
get
immediate
medical
attention. Failure to comply may result in
injury to personnel.
(57) Apply sealing compound to threads of four screws (71).
(58) Install valve body (51) on valve manifold (3) with four
screws (71).
(59) Apply sealing compound to threads of lever (72).
(60) Install lever (72) in pinion seal (60).
(61) Install nut (73) and knob (74) on lever (72).
(62) Perform steps (40) through (61) on remaining valve
bodies.
NOTE
All solenoids are assembled the same way.
One solenoid shown.
(63) Install solenoid cylinder (76) and solenoid sleeve (77) on
solenoid (78).
