16-27. M1084/M1086 THREE WAY CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY
REPLACEMENT/REPAIR (CONT)
WARNING
Adhesive sealant MIL-S-46163 can damage
your eyes.
Wear safety goggles/glasses
when using; avoid contact with eyes.
If
sealant contacts eyes, flush eyes with water
and get immediate medical attention. Failure
to comply may result in injury to personnel.
(13) Apply sealing compound to threads of four screws (18).
(14) Install preformed packing (19), lever cap (20), and four
screws (18) on valve body (14) with matchmarks aligned.
(15) Install two quad rings (21) and backup rings (22) on
pinion seal (23).
NOTE
Pinion seal may be installed for right or left
hand use.
(16) Install pinion seal (23) in lever cap (20) with matchmarks
aligned.
(17) Install carrier nut (24) on lever cap (20).
(18) Install seal washer (25) and rack support bolt (26) in
lever cap (20).
