16-9. M1084/M1086 TENSION LINK CYLINDER REPLACEMENT (CONT)
(3) Install rivet eyebolt (5) in upper pivot shaft (4).
WARNING
Adhesive-sealant MIL-S-46163 can damage
your eyes. Wear safety goggles/glasses
when using; avoid contact with eyes. If
sealant contacts eyes, flush eyes with
water
and
get
immediate
medical
attention. Failure to comply may result in
injury to personnel.
(4) Apply adhesive-sealant to threads of screw (6).
(5) Install bushing (7), washer (8), and screw (6) in rivet
eyebolt (5).
(6) Tighten screw (6) to 190-210 lb-ft (258-285 N·m).
(7) Install tension link cylinder (2) in turntable (9) with lower
pivot shaft (10).
(8) Install rivet eyebolt (11) in lower pivot shaft (10).
(9) Apply adhesive-sealant to threads of screw (12).
(10) Install bushing (13), washer (14), and screw (12) in rivet
eyebolt (11).
(11) Tighten screw (12) to 190-210 lb-ft (258-285 N·m).
c. Follow-On Maintenance.
(1) Lubricate MHC (TM 9-2320-366-20).
(2) Perform crane load test (para 16-31).
