16-6. M1084/M1086 BOOM BASE SECTION REPLACEMENT (CONT)
(15) Remove pivot shaft (18) from erection cylinder (22).
(16) Position erection cylinder (22) against turntable (20).
(17) Remove boom base section (23) from vehicle.
b. Installation.
WARNING
Boom base section weighs approximately
370 lbs (169 kgs). Attach a suitable lifting
device prior to installation. Failure to
comply may result in injury to personnel
or damage to equipment.
NOTE
Steps (1) through (4) require the aid of an
assistant.
(1) Position boom base section (1) in mounting position over
erection cylinder (2).
(2) Install erection cylinder (2) in boom base section (1) with
pivot shaft (3).
