WARNING
• Boom fly section weighs approximately 210
lbs (95 kgs). Attach a suitable lifting device
prior to installation. Failure to comply may
result in injury to personnel or damage to
equipment.
• Personnel must stand clear during lifting
operation. Snapped cable or shifted load
could cause serious injury or death to
personnel.
• Attach a guide rope to outer end of boom fly
section to aid in stabilizing and controlling
boom fly section during installation. Failure
to comply may result in injury to personnel or
damage to equipment.
NOTE
Step (8) requires the aid of an assistant.
(8) Position boom fly section (5) in boom mid section (1).
(9) Slide boom fly section (5) in boom mid section (1).
(10) Remove cargo sling and guide rope from boom fly
section (5).
(11) Install boom fly section (5) on telescopic cylinder (6) with
two shafts (7).
(12) Install four cotter pins (8) in two shafts (7).
