(6) Slide boom fly section (3) in boom mid section (5) as far
as possible.
(7) Remove cargo sling and guide rope from boom fly
section (3).
(8) Slide boom fly section (3) into boom mid section (5) as
far as possible.
(9) Install two shafts (6) in telescopic cylinder (7).
(10) Install four cotter pins (8) in two shafts (6).
(11) Install overload shutdown cable eye (9) on screw (10).
d. Adjustment.
NOTE
• Average thickness of spacer block is 0.375 in.
(0.09 cm).
Average thickness of shims is
0.0625 in. (0.15 cm).
• Add shims as required to reach a clearance of
0.0625 - 0.125 in. (0.15 - 0.3 cm) between
spacer block and boom fly section.
(1) Position spacer block (1) and shim(s) (2) in boom mid
section (3) with two screws (4).
(2) Tighten two screws (4) to 30-32 lb-ft (41-43 N·m).
(3) Connect batteries (TM 9-2320-366-20-3).
(4) Start engine (TM 9-2320-366-10-1).
